It's Not Your EyesightPosted by Barbara Kile (Ft. Worth, United States) on 23 February 2012 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio. No, it's not your eyesight! I've been in a 'blurry' mood of late and have been using the iPhone and the 'Slow Shutter' app with 1" exposures and camera movement. The fun part is, you never know what you're going to get, and you don't get the same results twice! I have taken quite a few of late, so thought I would feature complimentary colors in this collage. Maybe that will be a theme for future ones too! Remember to try new things when you feel you've hit a 'dry spell.' Things like camera pans can wake up your creative juices and give you wonderful 'color washes.' These flowers were taken by rotating the phone, and by panning. WELCOME and thanks for visiting! For anyone interested, my recent work is now on my WEBSITE: http://www.barbarakilephoto.com/ My SPOTLIGHT Images: http://barbarakile.aminus3.com/featured/ 'The Art of Flower Photography' is a new Spotlight gallery with images from some of Aminus3's best flower photographers and a tutorial on how to make great flower images:

Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United StatesThese are so gorgeous, Barbara. I was just sitting on my patio looking at my few daffodils, and thinking about taking some photos, but it is so windy. Then I thought I should try something with long exposures and blur just to see what I got with them dancing in the wind. But, alas, I just came inside and got caught up looking at blog photos. LOL Maybe your cool shots will motivate me to try something new! 23 Feb 2012 5:10pm @B. Thomas: Thanks, Barbara. I've actually taken some with the camera still and the wind doing its thing! Let me know how your slow shutter goodies come out. There was a display of wine glasses catching some great light on a shelf in a store and I panned them and the result was fun too - so it doesn't have to be flowers. :) jpla from St Barthélémy d, Francele rendu est très joli : bravo !
