On the Tracks

Posted by
Barbara Kile (Ft. Worth, United States) on 2 August 2009 in Art & Design and Portfolio.

The elements of design - pattern, texture, and line - used from this low perspective of a rail track. The repetition of the rusty track segments and the reflection of the blue sky in the metal caught my eye.

@Stephanie: Thanks for all the nice comments, Stephanie. I shot this on the tracks where I-30 goes by downtown. With all the traffic I couldn't hear too well, so kept looking back to be sure there wasn't a train coming! If someone had seen me, they likely would have told me to get off the tracks! lol Come to FW sometime if you want to do the art/cultural district or Stockyards. I want to shoot in Decatur in the evening when the lights are on at the old gas station too. Keep in touch!
