Rushing River and Fall Reflections

Posted by
Barbara Kile (Ft. Worth, United States) on 26 November 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Again, f/11 produced the preferred shutter speed for this rushing river in the Smoky Mountains. There was only a small amount of reds to reflect, but the sky and bright yellow foliage really showed off.

Beautiful shot, Barbara. Composition, subject and your choice of f-stop are great but it's colour what makes it amazing. I really like the dominative gold colour with a hint of blue.

This is truly one of my favorite types of image. I'm a water person. And this is a case where a well crafted image, like this one, is actually a better view than the scene was in real life. I only have one really great image like this in my own portfolio. Need to work on more! Glad you shared this one with us.
