Daffodils and Bokeh

Posted by
Barbara Kile (Ft. Worth, United States) on 22 March 2010 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Well, we had snow in Texas Saturday - yikes..... spring HAS to be on the way, right? Let's see if some sunny daffodils can cheer us up.

3 Textures used here: 2 by Pareeerica (Bubbly and Antique Paper) and one by Nyker99 (Texture 26) both on Flickr.
After adjusting opacities and using layer masks, I felt it needed something so then finished up with Photo Stylizer by Nik ColorEfex Pro and Viveza2.
105 mm f/2.8 macro; f/11.

I'm definitely cheered. These daffodils are spring personified.
The bokeh is wonderful, reminds me of honeycomb. A beautiful composition, Barbara !

I like the composition, colours and overall treatment which makes it look like soaked with spring sun and energy. The bokeh textures are pretty popular nowadays, especially on Flickr. It adds a glamorous glittering to it :) It seems that spring is finally coming here. Hope it will reach you soon.
