This is also nice but it can't beat the original. The colours here are very subdued and I think that the almost B&W treatment wouldn't take my attention for longer time.

I think this has a delicate beauty. The tones are subtle and the texture complements them well. Your work with textures and flowers reminds me of the plates often seen in old field guides and flower pressings.
