Blues and Greens of the Palouse

Posted by
Barbara Kile (Ft. Worth, United States) on 12 July 2010 in Art & Design and Portfolio.

This is a follow-up to the last post, with this image revealing the cooler tones of the landscape just before the sun peeks into the valley. There is less contrast but the colors are more varied. Sometimes we like cool images, sometimes warm images, and I find my preferences vary. Maybe you have a preference?

Thank you for all the nice comments on the Spotlight Image previously posted. That's exciting!

Both of these Lone Tree shots are dramatic and evocative.
The softly swirling horizontal division of space makes me stop and breathe in the peace and serenity !

This image has everything, like lines, light colors and the amazing composition, the tree is well positioned for the depth and a good point to start with, when you look at the picture! Very nice Barbara!

Barbara, I do not have a preference-I like both of these images. I like the color range in the second, but also the strong greens in the first with the softer tones in the background. Very well done!
