A Little TCU Pride

Posted by
Barbara Kile (Ft. Worth, United States) on 6 January 2011 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Allow me a bit of 'purple pride' as I congratulate the TCU Horned Frogs on their Rose Bowl victory. I was there, taking in all the festivities, including the parade, the parties, the spirit and the game! What a great venue - it's the Rose Bowl! Many schools feel a sense of 'entitlement' to be in a big bowl game - we were just excited to be there!

Happy New Year everyone!

@Tracy: Just being there was awesome. The students had the time of their lives I'm sure. Now that we're home, we'll watch the recording of the parade we made and we're planning a watch party to see the game again! :-)

This is really beautiful, Barbara. The purple tone is lovely and the soft and delicate petals are amazing. The vignete blur (or what is it) nicely leads eyes to what they should look at. Isn't it the same photo that was posted here some time ago but in high-key?

@Tomas Turecek: Thanks, Tomas. I have many versions of this rose, but could be - I went back to the raw/original files to find one with color.
