Sunflowers are just as interesting from the backside. iPhone capture with sketch blend and one of my textures overlaid - all done on iPhone.

Barbara Lee from Oakland, United States

Gorgeous! Barbara, I sure wish you lived near me, I would hire you to coach me! How did you get your textures into the iPhone? I suppose you just moved them there the manual way, but how were you able to adjust the opacity of the texture?

21 Mar 2011 2:33pm

@Barbara Lee: Thanks, Barbara! You need the app Iris. You have folders in your iPhone, so make a folder called 'textures' and size them at 2560 on the longest side. Iris will tweak it to match your original and let you choose the blending mode and opacity. I use iPhoto to bring images in and out of the iP4 because I have a Mac. iTunes I assume will allow you to move images in and out and place them in appropriate folders. I don't know how windows machines work with iTunes. If you need help with Iris, it's easier to walk you through it on the phone, so message me and we can do that! Iris also has some textures too.

Anita from West Nottingham, United States

DULCIE from Danville, CA, United States

This is exquisite. The petals are paper thin, all is translucent....it's as if I can see or feel the cells of this flower. The texture is so integral to the image. This is just lovely, lovely, lovely !

@DULCIE: Thank you, thank you, thank you! :)
