Dahlia Delight

Posted by
Barbara Kile (Ft. Worth, United States) on 7 July 2011 in Art & Design and Portfolio.

Thanks for the response to the previously posted landscape images. I have a couple more in the 'archives' I'll post soon. Bluebonnets and Paintbrush are not nearly as plentiful as in years past due to drought, wind and wildfires.

The curves and colors of dahlias are so beautiful and painterly. This Dahlia was so pretty I just had to buy some and bring them home to play with. (too hot here for them to grow).

Texture overlay and a lightly applied Alien Skin Snapart.

You have caught these Dahlia petals in a delightful way. They remind me of the fluttering layers of a ballerina's skirt !!
