Cyclamen Unfolding

Posted by
Barbara Kile (Ft. Worth, United States) on 5 December 2011 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

2 textures, one overlay blending mode and one hard light.
I appreciate all the feedback. More blending modes and opacities, more experiments = greater learning curve. I'm just enjoying 'playing!'

I have another hydrangea that I'll post later in the week! :)

BTW, the colour is purple not pink, barbara! And, it's a very difficult colour to get right, which you've managed splendidly. To think, I have a rough 320px cellphone image of a pot of purple cyclamen, not even close to yours...what am I thinking!!! 4stars. :OD

You truly have a talent Barbara. I really love the way you shoot at flowers. You deliver such an elegance, a sensuality... thats' incredible indeed. Petals look liek fabrics. Amazing pink dress. :-)

Lovely! I like that Cyclamen bud--so beautiful. The texture colors work really well with it. There is a nice contrast between the textures and the silky flower. You are reminding me to take photos of my Cyclamen.

I really like the shape and color of the flower. Did you apply less texture to the flower to give it a fresher look?
